Health Fair was held Thursday, October 25th, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Lions Den And was a huge success. We had 35 participating representatives from health care agencies, Grady Memorial Hospital, Newberry's Pharmacy, hospice agencies, Compton's Orthopedic Shoes, First National Bank, American Medi-Tech, Oklahoma Lions Mobile Health Screening Unit and many more. We gave away more than 50 door prizes. About 38 people received health screening in the Lions Club Health Screening Unit. Carolyn the Clown, two radio stations, Lt. Governor Jari Askins, Representatives Joe Dorman and Don Barrington and loads of wonderful people were on hand. We'll have another health fair this year. However, we need a larger place, any suggestions? |
