What type of discount will this new Oklahoma prescription discount card provide?
Discounts range from 10 percent to 55 percent, depending on what drugs you buy and where you buy them. To save the most money, choose generic drugs first. If you are taking a brand name prescription, talk with your doctor about a possible generic or a covered nonprescription or over-the-counter (OTC) option. Often, a doctor can prescribe a less expensive, generic drug that works as well as the name-brand you are currently taking - but at a significant discount.
What medications are included in the program?
You can use the card on thousands of medications in many drug classes. Always check with your doctor to decide which generic or alternative is best for you. Remember, using generics will provide the biggest discount. Savings may be up to 55 percent!
